Introduction
I am Jaehan Im. I'm currently working as an aerospace engineer at Nearthlab Inc., a company developing an autonomous drone solution for infrastructure inspection. I received MSc degree in Aerospace Engineering at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology(KAIST).
My interest is on complexities arising from the interactions between entities with intelligence. This includes Multi-agent system, Decentralized control, Differential game theory, Air traffic management and discrete optimization algorithms.
Since watching Air Crash Investigation from National Geographic Channel, I was intrigued by the irony that the most advanced autonomous system could inadvertently cause safety problems when interacting with humans. Since then, I began to view an intelligent machine as an independent subject capable of interacting with other beings, instead of a passive 'object' that needs to be governed. My most pressing question is, "What mechanism might promote harmonious collaboration among intelligent entities? This question has been my driving force for pursuing research goals.
